What a wonderful weekend. Seeing people I haven't seen in 38 years, emotional ceremonies, watching Gomer win all those prizes etc. I hope we all realize it's not about memories of a war but about friendship. Real friends, no matter how infrequently we see each other. Many thanks to Tree and the others without whom none of this could happen. See you next time.

A huge thanks to Tree and Laura, Bob Moore and his wonderful singers.......That was real nice of you Bob.......the music was wonderful, To Eddie Hancock, Doug Young who we can NEVER thank enough for all he did at the reunion and continues to do for us, Harvey Claypool for his efforts to hepl us raise money, Brenda Bullock who worked so long and hard to get us registered, Denise Branch, for all your efforts to keep the place in order, but especially Dennis & Cheryl Doran for just being themselves .........And Narcisco Reyes for attending with only 2 weeks notice and making us all laugh once again. June 19, 1970 larry bownam was walking point when we came across a gook shitter. Larry continued past this and into a slight down slope when he was shot by an nva in a bunker. At that same moment Robert Steele and I had reached the shitter. We took cover behind a small mount of soil and begain firing. With no good cover I moved forward toward the rest of the squad. When I encouraged Robert to do the same he stood upright and bolted forward. When he reached other members he went to his knees and was shot in the head as he sought cover. Larry Bowman was already dead, his shotgun man wounded and was being treated.
