SSG Kenneth Perkinson did not lose his arm when he was hit, but doctors  tried to save it, and he wore a cast, then a half cast, but the arm kept getting smaller, and finally they had to amputate it.  He does real well, has built 2 or more houses in Columbus, Ga.
