I found the best Vietnam Wall website that I've seen. It's called www.virtualwall.com. It's 100 percent better than any site I've seen including the government one. Take care |

I was with B Co. 2/5 Cav (Ridge Runners from 4-69 to 3-70) and I would love to know how my unit could put together such a great history. This site for C 2/5 is the best narrative account I've seen. |

My father was assigned to the 1st Cavalry (Air Mobile) Division, Company C, 1st Battalion in early 1966. He survived and went on to make a career with the Army. I'm very proud of him and always love hearing and seeing history about what he went through. |

I was a young SGT and SSG assigned to C-2/5th from October 1967 to mid year 1968. I have just learned that one of our own, 1LT Roman Kupchinsky passed away in Arlington, VA on 19 January 2010. Roman was my Platoon Leader during our time at Khe Sahn, Quang Tri and the A Shau Valley. I have a few pictures that I'll post. It would be nice to hear from some of you guys. |

Hello, I am putting together a mini reunion in Fayettville, NC (Ft.Bragg) with the hopes of getting Larry Speight (Rat) to attend and get him used to the idea and maybe he will attend the next Big Reunion. Rat lives about an hour from Fayettville, so I am almost sure he will attend, even if it's just one day for him. Everyone from C-2-5 is invited, however I know that due to distance and the Big Reunion coming up, it may not be possible for a lot of you to attend. Right now I am looking at May 13th thru 16th at the Holiday Inn near the airport. It is close to many restaurants, bars and grills, Special Ops Museum, Ft. Bragg itself, Shopping Center, and much more. It is also about 2 miles from the airport and we will be picking people up there and transporting them back and forth.Right now I have a list of about 9 people that have committed to attend. My phone number in case you have questions is Home 910-428-2322 Cell 336-460-2282. Robert Lisenby (Indian) |

In doing research on the unit my late Father James Lisenby served with in Italy during WWII, I found that he was in the 338th Infantry Regiment which was a regiment of the 85th Division and 5th Army. The 85th Division patch has a CD on it. The CD stood for "CUSTER DIVISION". formed in Michigan in 1917. Now I feel even ...closer to my Father since I also served in (the Custer Division) or First Cavalry as it is now called. This link tells of their heroics in Italy. http://user.pa.net/~cjheiser/ct8/338main.htm |
