I would like to sign your book and announce the passing of my father Andrew C LaVallie. He served with 2/5 11th Air Assault in Vietnam in 1965/1966. He was also in Idrang out of LZ Albany. I was there that dreadful night as a member of B-2-5...After 40 years it still remeins in my mind like it was yesterday...I was wounded that night and Med-a-vac to an emergency operating room and later spent 3 months in the hospital in Japan for rehab....I have never been so proud of the men that fought beside me that night. I go to the WALL whenever I get the chance to say HELLO to the guys and to say THANK YOU......... |
